Guys I was wondering if any of you could come up with some good ideas of what I can do with all thetubs of Ice Melt I have lying around. They're so good I have used them on relatives driveways and no ice or slipperyness was there in the morning so that's not the problem. I have like 120 of them and I was maybe thinking of doing door sales but I am not sure of this. I think now will be a good time for people to buy them but I was wondering if anybody could give me some ideas on how to get rid of them?! Thanks :D

This morning was quite interesting as I think we had a small case of freezing rain/sleet here because it started raining with a bit of sleet mixed in about 6am and brought the temperature up from around -3C to 1C however the ground was still cold which meant that cars and roads ended up with a thin layer of ice on them in places. quite dangerous on the roads I would guess for the short while it lasted and you couldn't tell what was water and what was ice at times. it had melted by around 10am I think

now its cold wet and miserable here.

Had a heavier snow/soft hail shower early this afternoon which settled very easily on the ice making that white, but only a slight dusting elsewhere, just a couple or 3 light/very snow showers since max of 2.5c in a west wind so it`s a notable cold day from that direction thats for sure,1.3c and clear skies just after surfaces were freezing.

After some brief early snow that left nothing more than sprinkling its been a partly cloudy and dry day. Cold though:

Max Temp: 3.7C

Min Temp: 0.1C

Currently 2.9C with a dewpoint of 0.7C, so that area of precipitation coming this way any time soon will probably be rain or sleet.

Two short spells of heavy snow this morning, the first between 0655 and 0710 and the second from 0855-0905 left a covering of 4.5cm which has lasted all day with no thawing at all. Once the early snow had cleared the morning was dry and cold with sunny spells. The afternoon was more cloudy with a few light snow showers which added nothing to the exisiting cover, the cloud cleared temporarily around sunset but has since increased again with a few more light snow showers.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
