Posted some of these earlier, but thought I'd put them together in one place. This is what it look's like in my little corner of the Pennines at the moment :)

In the last one you can just make out in the distance how a bit further east and a bit lower not much has stuck at all. Elevation really does help when it's a bit marginal.

Thanks for the pics and comments. Went for a walk around lunchtime, got caught in a pretty heavy snow shower which lasted about 30 mins and re-covered where the earlier stuff had melted. Took some video of it - careful though, the files are quite big (between 2 mb and 4 mb). I've not uploaded video before so if they don't work let me know and I'll try and fix it.

Sorry John, to be honest it was a little bit parky to be standing around, but I'll try and be a bit smoother next time :D

Pennine i attempted to get up over the top this morning, no luck i was one of the first though...I've just come home over the tops on the back lanes with snow still on them.....quebec road.

Halifax had snow most of the day today, amazing massive flakes later on but i know in Mirfield where my mum is it rained all day.

Yep D-B, a good day, had to 'work from home' today as good lady wife needed the 4 wheel drive, so was able to get out and about a bit snapping away !!! And BBC seem to think tomorrow night and Thursday morning will be an eight hour snow-fest. Personally I think that even up here it'll probably turn to rain by mid-morning, and I also predict that the main band of precipitation won't move east quite as fast as BBC are expecting, so I'd say maybe three or four hours of snow for us at best. But, we'll see.............

Cheers Russ :o Yes, hopefully we won't be talking in March about the 'one decent cold spell in early December' !!!

Here are the images from the snow event from last night and today...as you can see the whole of Aberdeenshire towards the Cairngorms are covered in about 5" of snow, nothing at the coast except a dusting but 10 miles inland its a winter wonderland as far as the eye can see.

Hope you like them...
