A perfect winters day near enough, temperature here in Portsmouth rose to a maximum of 3.0C giving me my lowest max of the year so far beating the 4.0C we had on January 4th. Luckily for me I was finished at work by lunchtime and headed up to London where the low cloud parted just as I arrived to provide perfect conditions for me and my camera. :)

Venus, Jupiter and the moon looking stunning in a crystal clear sky :) .

1c, temperature falling, frost forming.

Yes there`s been some great views of Venus and Jupiter recently :) not tonight though as it`s cloudy. :)

Coldest day of the winter so far at just 1.7c

0.7c now too,Wales said 2 inches of snow on high ground as it did show rain following except for the highest mountains.

So I`ll expect that then. :)

an ice day today, frost remained in the shadows all day. its the first day where frost has remained for a long long time. hopefully the current conditions will remain for a while and the nasty bugs that manage to get spread around every "winter" are killed off. as a commuter the last thing i need is a bout of flu before coming to work over xmas :)

It's clouding over and the temperature has already risen noticeably - now 0.6 and rising quickly. Realistically I suspect the best chance we'll get of any wintry precipitation is the possiblilty of a little sleet - no doubt followed by rain.

1.1C total cloud cover, southerly breeze beginning,

995 MB steady, I`m 50/50 on the "will she or wont she" but the nearby 600ft+ hilltops will get an inch or two like the 1980`s when zonal fronts frequently left snow deposits on the hills and peak district but only rain below 600 to 800 feet.
