First of all I will apologise for the quality of these, stupidly I forgot my camera was on manual focus and didn't even realise it wasn't focusing.

Also I think I had the settings a bit wrong, they are too bright. Must have been the excitement :D

This was on my mobile, I drove into some deep snow outside work and ended up miles from the curb. It snowed about another 2 hours after this was taken. It took a while to dig my way out tonight with only my scraper, and the help of my car mats to get out

These were taken on my short 30min lunch break next to Hownsgill Industrial Estate, Consett. By this time the snow had stopped and it was drizzling.

Not sure of the depth, there was no walls or anything to get a good measurement, but I would say at least 4-5 inches.

Hopefully a few more days like this to come through the rest of winter :D

Good photos but to be honest of you it really was crappy snow, horrible slushy snow where when you stand on it you never got the crunch of the other day...I don't like Transitional snow.

I'll take any type of snow :)

Where's the Phileas Fogg factory?

Medomsley Road, you probably would remember the advert, at the end it said something like 'made in Medomsley Road, Consett' with a finger pointing to the globe. It's across the other side of Consett.

I work for the people who set up Phileas Fogg, funnily enough. They sold Phileas and started Tanfield Food Company, looks like soon we could be moving back to Medomsley Road. Also while i'm plugging, those in the North East have probably seen our fridge racing advert for our 'Look What We Found' meals :)

Here's some photos my Mam took at home in Stanley on 4th December which show the depth much better than mine. If anything it looks deeper than Consett!

tks for those folks, was wondering what snow looked like, about the only time I see it (last Easter Sunday excepted, is when I have my annual 2 weeks skiing/walking/eating/drinking in Wengen.

We certainly live in a good spot. I used to live in Hebburn, Tyne and Wear and it's so much better up here.

Already this winter we've had plenty of snow when Hebburn has had very little.

Nice pics there Kev.

Aye thanks, I'm very lucky have uninterrupted view across to Cheviots and those pesky blizzards have uninterrupted passage from the north, hence often find kitchen windows snowcapped. Though did get a shock on 4th when I opened front door to post delivery not realising there was a two foot drift wanting to get warmed up inside my house. Brrr
