For those who like the thrill of the chase I thought I would post some links to watch Dsicovery Channels Stormchasers Series 2 which follows Josh Wurmans team and includes the TIV (Tornado Intercept Vehicle). These are on youtube and are quite good to watch. I will post each episode every day, each episode comes in 6 parts each 5 - 10 minutes long.

Today is Episode 1 of Season 2 which is the 2008 season.

Thanks for putting these up, have already watched up to Series 2, Episode 6 which are all on Youtube, the only ones not on yet are the Episode 7 which airs in the USA Tonight on their Discovery Channel, and this is the best of the Lot.

When I have been watching these Episdoes (Which Thank God have mostly been in Chronological Order This Time) It is Interesting to see how our Storm Chase Team have faired up against all the Million Dollar Equipment. The answer is Not Bad at all.

We were on the Same Supercell Storm in Episode 1 (Fredonia) Ks as the Dow and Tiv, we were also on a much better Storm on the 5th May in the Oklahoma Panhandle when they effectively busted in the New Mexico area.

We were in the same position as them on the Stuttgart (Arkansas) EF3 Tornado and it looks like we made the right choice to hang back (Think that is Episode 2 or 3)

We beat them hands down on the 22nd and 23rd May :D and also had comparibles on the 29th May Tornadofest in Kansas and Nebraska.

The thing that gets me, is if their radars go down thats it, they just give up for the day, I noticed Josh has Barons running in his Computer Centre Dow Truck and Justin has GRLevel3 but they just cant seem to Chase like 99% of the Chasers do, I wonder why this is ?? They have all attended OUN And have been trained in Meteorology and been on Field trips in their studies with regards to Chasing. Visual signs of a Storm are sometimes better than the radar.

Will put some links up to the Episodes that we were Chasing the same Storms as these guys so you can see what we went through as well.

Great Series though and certainly one I would like to receive as a present for birthday or Xmas.

Yeah its an incredible series.....unfortunately they aren't aired here until next year so Im not sure they will be released on Dvd until then. Which reminds me, gotta get the next episodes up.....was reluctant to as I didn't think anybody was watching as I've had no replies. But I shall get them up later when my daughter is off home.
