Freezing conditions overnight lifted as cloud and strong south east winds gusting to 38mph brought rain and raised the temperature to 5c by observation. The rain moved away during the late morning with a few sunny spells developing during the afternoon, and the wind turned SW moderate. Milder than of late with a top temperature of 6.9c.

Got down to 1.4c with yet more ice only a thin layer with overnight showers,just a few light rain showers here this morning temps are a touch higher to this time yesterday at 5c

Cloudy and breezy - a fresh NNW - with a few sunny spells. Temperature is 7c which is as high as it's been today. After early cloud it had been mostly sunny until half an hour ago.

Goodness me, it's like a heatwave - got up to 6ºC today. First time in 8 days.

Getting really bored with the rain now - hasn't stopped since around 12:30am on the 4th. The low pressure seems to be sat right on top of NE Scotland.
