If you take a look at today's run the radar looks really weird. Is there a problem with the radars as it's been very strange for a while on and off. Look at Ireland for a start. Just doesn't look right

Hi TP, there have been a few radar site issues of late, one included the NI site so it may well be connected, will see if I can find out a bit more.

    Cheers Mate

Actually while we're at it why does the Net Weather Radar now over do the snow and sleet aspect. Last this year it was very accurate. This year you're half a larf 99% of the time. Shows Snow when it's chucking it down with rain.

Nothing's changed since last year in terms of setup, strangely your's is the first negative comment we've had on it this year, most people have been singing its praises!

It can only ever be considered a guide though, as snow can be such a localised phenomenon

Just looking at the current reports around the country - looks like it's pretty good tonight with northeastern stations reporting sleet/snow as shown on the radar

No sleet here just steady rain. Watched enough of the stuff on my windscreen today.

Light rain now temps rather high for sleet as well except Telford sleet that is

Last year very good this year I just don't take any notice of it apart from chuckle.

I think there may be a problem with NW radar unless its me, when I login into the radar and the full map comes up its showing snow all around/over me, but when I do a postcode zoom there is absolutely nothing. Any advice/help please

Zoom in on postcode then use the backwards step and see if it goes to normal. Some times the zoomed in precip type screws up.

There is an intermittent bug currently where the postcode zoom can occasionally step back to using low-res imagery on the precip type - we're working on a fix. Aside from that all is working properly though. If you continue to see problems please contact us via the site rather than the forum, as we can then investigate further:
