It has been a stormy night with moderate to heavy rain and strong south-to-south easterly winds gusting to 42mph, much milder though with the temperature reaching 7.9c during the early hours. At observation, moderate rain with the SE wind moderating. The day continued overcast and dull with rain, moderate at times, but with much lighter winds. The maximum temperature was at observation, 6.4c, then slowly fell through the day to around 4c by 18:00hrs.

Cold & grey with an overnight low of 2.4c. Now 4.1c and I think I can still see some frost out there but not ventured outside as yet having only made it out of bed a few mins ago!

Rather surprised to see there had been a slight ground frost overnight, despite thick fog and persistent light rain until well into the early hours.

The fog has now lifted and it's dry with 8 oktas stratus. Another 11.8 mm rain yesterday so this month's total is creeping up nicely.
