That's impressive. Hasn't been all that frosty in the south, my lowest has been -4.1c. What has been exceptional is there hasn't been a day in double figures (until tomorrow that is) While not remarkable, is impressive.

Yes, we got up to 10ºC today - first time in double figures since 26th November.

As you can see from my sig below - it's been quite a run of airfrosts in Edinburgh too - 26 in total! And one ice day

First time in double figures since Nov 26th? I think the last time we had double figures here was right at the start of November or end of October, I cannot recall the last time we had double figures thats how long it has been!

It certainly feels like that Andy! But East Mids Airport (probably your closest?) had 8 days >10ºC during November - the last being both the 26th & 27th.

Meanwhile here we've had just 3 air frosts in the same timeframe with an absolute low temperature of -0.4C!

The setup we've just been through wasnt really favourable for frosts here as we had a combination of high cloud and a light onshore breeze almost every night. These along with the lack of any real deep cold meant temperatures generally bottomed out at 1-2C most times.

8 air frosts here over that period, all but one of them between -0.2c and -1.9c so never really cold. There have been another 4 days with a min' between 0.1 and 0.9c and on each of those nights there was an air frost in the local valleys.

It's just been too breezy here, that and a lack of cold air in depth.

Eighteen air frosts over 25 nights here, ranging from -1.3 to -5.3C.

In December last year, I had fourteen air frosts in a row, between Dec 10th and Dec 23rd with the lowest being -7.2.

Well where November I only scraped one frost on the 28th with a minimum of -0.2C, December has seen 11 frosts in total, the lowest minimum being -4.2C on Sunday 7th.
