Just been for a walk along the beach and I made the mistake of wearing a heavy coat and came back sweating.

The night has been wet, windy and very mild with the temperature reaching 12.0c during the early hours. At observation, now flat calm and overcast with moderate drizzle. The day continued overcast and dull with outbreaks of drizzle. Becoming clearer during the evening, though quite windy once again with the westerly wind gusting to 29mph.

The shortest day is going to be very short on daylight!

12 degrees here yesterday, might be a notch higher today as it's actually quite bright now with some blue sky and quite warm sunshine whereas yesterday was a little duller. Breeze just taking the edge off the temperature.

Nice day- if not at all seasonal. Great for golf!

Well hopefully we will get some of the white stuff by the end of the week but i think i'll wait till the day before when it comes to thinking of precipitation. it's not even set in stone yet nevermind cold biased predictions of snow for certain locations before....I've pretty much been dissapoined for the last 5 year of membership on here when it comes to what is 'about' to happen but doesn't so i guess i've learnt my lessons wheareas some people haven't on here.

Hopefully we will get some snow though.

Warmest night for 6 weeks here - at 11ºC last night. Didn't bother having the heating on - that'll help with the gas bills, and it made a nice change not having to walk like a demented antelope trying to avoid slipping onto one's backside. More please!

Temp. 10.1 @ 16.00hrs. Wind westerly force 5 and gusty, Early afternoon drizzle now ceased, but still dull (and dark). Bar.1024.

I notice that Stonyhurst (about 3 miles from here) was the wettest place in the country yesterday with 17mm (9hrs to 2100hrs). I recorded only 4mm for 20th, 0900 to 0900 on 21st, but 31mm on the previous day.

this even larger teapot thing is worsening, felt very warm today, seen ppl in summer tops, i went out coatless, max temp 15.6oC, min 11.8oC, i had cooler in september
