Yesterday, 24 December 2008

The weather conditions over the last 24 hours have changed little, overcast and dry with little change in temperature. The morning saw the sky brighten allowing some hazy sunshine, which continued through the afternoon, which gave an almost spring like feel to the weather as the temperature reached a mild 8.7c. Cloud once again increased towards the end of the afternoon. Maximum wind gust 10mph from the west.

Merry Christmas everyone!

John Holmes, are you reading :) ?...

... I, from now on, will report temperatures in the proper way (eg 7.8c instead of 7c or 8c) because my favourite Christmas present is an Oregon Weather Station* courtesy of my brother & sister in law :D !! In a way I can't believe it's taken me this long to get one instead of just having a max/min thermometer.

Today has seen the first proper bright sunshine since last Friday (19 Dec) with almost unbroken sunshine between 11.00 and 15.00 - either side of that it was cloudy and bright.

The Easterly breeze begun to pick up through the afternoon to heighten the cold feel. Max was 7.8c.

Conditions now...

Temp = 4.9c

Humidity = 73%

Cloudy

* I love the Moonphase feature and the 12 hour forecast section which currently states Partly Cloudy.
