Overcast and a good deal colder than yesterday, in fact I don't think it's reached 0c all day.

Temp' currently is -1.4c which is only 0.4c higher than last night's minimum.

Surprised it's that cold we've hit 1.9C here according to the Davis which is always a bit off. Been to Goyt valley today and although frosty at the beginning the frost did melt suggesting a temp above freezing.

Present temp 0.2C and looking like it'll stick around freezing all night unless the cloud clears.

Almost a freezing day today with a maximum of 0.2c from a low of -6.8c now -3.8c if clear skys continue in Kent then I predict a low of -9c somewhere in the South, Biggin Hill may well be -7.5c thats my prediction. Great day today clear and frosty all day in the shade.

Loch Glascarnoch is at -8'C now. It and Aviemore, the ones to watch tonight.

Currently -7c here, backdoor toilet freezing up this pm, cold really getting dug in ( max daytime -4c again for the second day running) electric fence posts in turnip field frozen into the ground to a depth of 4" had to use a pick to shift them . Forests next to the Firth look completely white with hoar frost, absolutely stunning when sea fog rolls back and the sun shines on them. Don"t know what the future weather holds but winter is certainly here just now. Forecasts now catching up with temperatures we have experienced in the last 3 days as we have been a lot lower than they have been stating probably due to cold air falling down the side of the hills and ending up with us and no wind to mix it.

stuck still with the NW midlands usual north sea misty low cloud, my last sub zero minimum was in early december, 2.0oC here, this misty stuff not moving until friday at the earliest, still feels bitter, but dont think it can be classed as a cold spell with no frost, snow or ice and a low of just 1.6oC since boxing day
