Hi all, John has put together a brief video to discuss the prospects for snow this Monday, which you can view here:

http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=beta1;sess=

It's also being used as an initial test of our new video platform, which will soon be used on the Netweather TV service - so please let us know your thoughts on it and if you see any bugs or issues..

Cheers

Paul

(please don't use this thread for weather based discussions)

Hi all, John has put together a quick video looking at the prospects of snowfall on Monday with me doing a voiceover, you can take a look at it here:

That's a good idea and nice to hear a narrated forecast with proper model info :)

please remember its not a forecast of snow for Monday, I simply used that day as it APPEARED to have something to talk about using the 06z data output.

So as Paul says its a test to see what is possible so please comment on the technical side not the forecast side.

Works fine with FireFox 3.

Maybe certain people need to update codex's, especially with good old vista....

You need to do a manual download of the Adobe flash player plugin for firefox if it's showing as blank. after install reload firefox browser and you should be able to watch ok :)

Many thanks to John and Paul for putting this together.

A reminder for anyone using Adblock plus with Firefox, you need to disable it to see the NW TV videos. Or I do anyway :)

glad its worked and that there are more compliments than brickbats about the content, Paul doing the voice over is an improvement on me but sadly, as soon as we get it all working, its something you will have to put up with; you can always turn the sound down and I promise to show myself only rarely!

Thanks a lot for a very clearly explained sequence of charts. Even showed the possibility of some light ppn for my area! Btw, worked perfectly for me - IE 7.
