JUNE 2009 - WARM, SUNNY, DRY

The monthly mean temperature was 0.9C above the June average, but the first half of the month tended towards cool and unsettled. June's only true hot spells occurred at the beginning and end of the month, and brought no thunderstorm activity. The rainfall total was 50% of the monthly average which fell almost wholly in the first half of the month - only 1mm fell on just one day after the 15th. There was a normal mixture of sunshine and duller weather and the sunshine total for June ended at approx 212 hours - just above the average.

cheers TN9, only just spotted your post! It seems we have done a little better in terms of rainfall and temperature (here it was 1.2C above average, not 0.9C) than you :) However we are in the same boat when it comes to storms :o :)

Cool site! :o

Well after only 8.0mm fell in September and only 9.7mm in August our yearly total has now moved on to 304.8mm

Another well below average year on the cards by the looks of things and thank god for July which gave us 2 1/2 Inches of the Yearly total of just over 12 Inches.

Just 18.6mm in over 65 days now
