Hi,

I am looking to purchase my first weather station having had an interest in the subject for many years.

I would also like to connect to my laptop and collate the information.

Any advice on which model to go for? I am prepared to spend up to £200

Many thanks

ps I have just spotted the NW site with the Equipment on sale. Still confused!

LaCrosse 2350 is a good starter model at a reasonable price. Also Maplin have some low priced kit that can connect to a PC.

Many thanks for the tip. Dropped into Maplins today but they only had very basic kits which were not connectable by usb to pc.

hi G

I'm sure there is a link somewhere to NW having these available or at least a link to the site, have a good browse around I'm sure you will find a link somewhere, and try in Google, there are lots of sites for the price you want to pay.

Welcome to NW as well.

Many thanks John and Bristolwx.

I have found the NW site and now making my final choice.

Can I also say that I have enjoyed your posts John and find them extremely informative thus my wanting to take weather watching t the next step.

I have been a member of NW since 2005 and with a Weather Station I hope to be able to contribute to the discussions.

That's a pity.

I had a LaCrosse 2300 from the UKweathershop (Older model of 2350) and had no problems with it at all until it got smashed by a falling wall. I have purchased quite a lot of equipment from them with excellent customer service and the 2350 and the mounting kit would be well within your price range.

Hope that helps you.

Hi Greyowl,

Many thanks........I had a good look at the spec of the LaCrosse 2350 and decided to go for it. It has the spec I wanted. :)

I managed to get it online from a company called Aces Electronics
