It`s been a lovely sunny day with no cloud at all max of 4c though but with no thawing what snow is left in the shade as even frost still remains.

-0.6c now although there looks to be cloud to the south and some patchy fog rolling over the hills to the south also.

Thick freezing fog all day, several reports of accidents during the commuter hours this morning. I drove all of 3 miles and could barely see a thing. It really is horrible out there now. Glad I'm not trying drive in it.

Here in the city, it got down to -1.9 last night. After a high of 4.3 this afternoon, the temp is heading downwards rapidly again - ice has already been forming on the ground - currently 0.6. Curiously, it is +4 at the airport (Dyce) meaning it is colder on the coast than a little inland. Pressure 1021mb and rising.

The temperature has been fluctuating between -0.4c and -1.0c for the last few hours. There's low level mist/fog making for an eerie, haloed moon and frost forming gradually.

-0.8c

Snow almost completely melted now, thanks to the scorching 2.7c max temperature we have had today.

Cloudy here and temps have lifted to 1.6c,the ground is still sparkling though so a ground frost just even with cloudcover.

-0.7c was the min which helped to lower ground temps, looking at XC clearer skies are coming in from the south/SE and cloud is coming in from that direction.

Cloudy and bright from the vast amounts of light pollution mixing up with the slightly foggy air we have around... Temp now 2.8c so nothing unusual

Hiya, Currently have clear skies, nearly a full moon and -5C.

What i haven't seen before is thousands of tiny ice crystals floating in the air, caught in the beam of the outside light. It's not foggy or misty, so just wondered if anyone can offer an explanation

Cheers

Jimbo
