OMG! Just looked out of the window and it looks like someone has sprayed everything, including the road, with white paint (a very big can)! In fact it looks like a very thin layer of snow. Now that's proper frost/freezing fog.

A dull, misty though less cold start after some overnight rain. An overnight ground frost was detected though, minimum on the grass –1.4c, minimum air temperature 0.3c. At observation, overcast with drizzle, still feeling rather cold. The rest of the day continued dull misty and overcast, still on the cold side, maximum 3.4c, maximum wind gust, 9mph, SSW.

The Most fantastic hoare frost I have ever seen in my 52 years. Every branch, every blade of grass covered in white frost, If only my daughter hadn't left the digital camera at school . Min temp -8c currently at -3c. Snow is still on the ground from Monday. Those wishing for milder weather, well its coming, along with wind, rain and temps of 8c, very dull and boring.

Its actually getting colder as the day goes on here, when I came into work it was -1 at 8:30 this morning, now at nearly 11am its -3! The fog has moved in and its getting gloomier by the minute.

Still between -1 and -2C here in Oxford with very light snow falling, which has given everything a very fine white coating on top of the frost. Another ice day perhaps?
