Just checked the thermometer - missed an ice day yet again (when I reset the thermometer last night it was reading 0.5 and falling fast, so I think today's reading was valid). Currently -1.5, max 1.0, min last night -2.7. Freezing fog all day at work in Basingstoke and almost certainly an ice day there.

Dfinately gonna be colder, Farnborough is -7oC at 7pm, long way to fall yet ... -13 or 14oC might be on the cards. Dense fog in Ipswich for two days soliday so far, visibility must be 50m tops.

Well for central Nottingham - it's cold and really feels like a proper winters night for the first time in (sort of) ages. We had clear (yes really - I'm not lieing!) skies allowing temps to actually go below freezing (yes shocking!). It's now -0.3c and falling slowly. We have a fair bit of of mist/fog around too - and not just low cloud! And there was me thinking that the low cloud was nailed permanently to the sky... I can only assume the low cloud will roll in shortly and temps will be back to the usual 0-2c by morning (not that I'll care since I'll be in bed till whenever-o'clock).

Anyway enough sarcastic weather reports from me- back to my beer
