Inaccurate Readings

I've had a Ventus W155 for the last year which has been fine for my needs, however, just this last week or two its giving inaccurate readings (too high).

In the car the last week I noticed that the car thermometer was reading minus 2 at one stage, and the Ventus was reading 2 or 3. At the moment its 22:31 in South Wales and its reading 15.3 which can't be right...

The temp sensor is situated on top of the TV mast as its always been, angle a god foot from the edge of the roof. Its been fine until the last 7 days or so.

Any ideas? I know that when in direct sunlight the temp can read too high, but this is 22:30 and its dark.

sorry can't help but its obviously wrong, why or how you fix it not sure. I assume you will have to bring the mast down to be able to check anyway.

    good luck

Have it as far away from your house as possible, at 2m above the ground; it's near the roof and heat rises so this may explain it.

Its a foot away from the edge of the roof and about 3 or 4 foot above it, so its not directly above it. Its also been ok up until recently. As suggested, I'm going to have to get up on the roof this weekend and remove it and place it away just to test. If its still inaccurate I'll try and get a replacement from the manufacturer I suppose.
