6/8 cloud cover so actually an improvement on last week (and yesterday - oh and the who knows how many weeks before that) as we can see this strange 'sky' stuff so many people speak of!

5c the low now 5.7c which is an awkward temp for cycling - too warm for michellin man look but too cold to leave it all at home.

Why are Nottingham university students incapable of using the roads/pavements/cycle tracks correctly? Over xmas it's been great but now the morning rush hour involves dodging large gangs of them that don't seem to understand that roads (no matter how small) are for traffic - and cycle lanes are for cyclists - not for 4 in a row walking groups! Everyone else manages without clogging everything up so why not them?

I concur, 4C is a mild January morning temperature. Its 6C here, which feels positivly tropical, damp, overcast and slightly breezy. Not what you want really. Surprising seen as the BBC morning weather suggested it would be frosty here this morning and would max out at about 5. Judging by this thread, any frost has been restricted to the north of Scotland.

I am off to denmark on thursday, just north of copenhagen in the only really hilly area of denmark, a place called Birkerod for my nieces christening. I will be coming back on monday night. I was wondering if i will be likely to see any snow?

It has been a very mild but also very windy night with an easterly gust reaching 40mph. At observation, after recent rain, cloudy and dull, though not as windy. The day continued dull and rainy, though with much lighter winds, especially during the afternoon. Very mild, top temperature 10.0c.
