    Well, with the pointless optimism of a crazed snow lover, I awaited the Daily Excess's forecast of nationwide cripplingly deep snow this week. :D

    So apart from frightening the old and vulnerable with their bizarre over the top headline forecasts, they were wrong and unrepentant again.

    As they were with previous tall tales of killer blizzards, killer low temperatures, killer tornadoes etc etc.

    As usual, no apology, no explanations. And they will do it again and again. A horrible way to sell a few more papers.

    Very true, my grandparents actually believe what they read in it when it says severe weather on the way. I usually just say "I wouldn't take any notice of it, theres no signs of weather that bad on the weather models I am looking at"

    • Exceptional warmth for western Europe as October begins

      There'll be exceptionally warm temperatures for the time of year affecting much of western Europe during the coming days, but that warmth will only graze the UK for now.
