Those pictures represent the perfect landscape as far as I'm concerned. Is that Great Dun Fell in the background on the last one?

Great Dun Fell is on the last image, with Cross Fell being on the right of the photograph.

Would have taken some pics yesterday but snow was to deep on the road to Cow Green.

The road was ploughed out in the early hours of Tuesday during a mountain rescue operation I was involved with - snow lay 4 - 5ft deep at the stage.

Thought it had been, could see the pills of snow left near the car park. Must have drifted back over later in the night. Must have been fairly poor condtions last night?

Edit just read the report on your callout on TWSMRT website

whiteout condtions prevailed through to 04.00 hrs Tuesday - RAF seaking aborted on approach and it was left to search dogs to head off to High Cup Nick reporting very diff conditons . Conditons last night (wed) again severe whilst training on Tees/Wear watershed.
