How about this for sheer horror. Adelaide the other day had their hottest ever minimum- at 34C! The temperature then exceeded 40C by 10AM...

Damp/drizzly earlier and foggy then magically not long later the fog was all gone because of a developing chilly SSE'ly breeze, already can feel the continental chill already

Lol In Kent we started to feel the chill yesterday as we were just to the east of the warm front and consequently we were around 3 to 4C. The SEly drift off the continent can be surprisingly cold here due to the short sea track.

The usual sort of stuff - grey, chilly with temps 5.4c where they've been for a fair while now...

Noticing the flow turning a little more easterly as can hear council house chiming from city centre (mile to my east).

Looking forward to a change of conditions - just hope this easterly delivers something other than cloud!

Note how cold the air already is thats coming in off the continent, and this is only just the beginning.

Perishing out there this morning, I know I'm only in short sleeves, but feels like the cold is beginning to dig in!

yes, felt a lot colder on my bike to work this morning - a real chill in the breeze. It was a bit of a shock actually as last night it felt very mild and damp. A taste of things to come!
