As long as the wind stays off-shore i'm expecting at least 5cm here, half a mile from the coast :D

The South downs (only 10 mins by car :D ) over 800 ft at the highest point, at least 10cm

I think the big winners in this will be Newcastle - Durham - Cumbria

Can see those areas getting maybe 40-50cm of snow this week

Other big winners Yorkshire 20-30cm - Buxton area 30-40cm

This looks to me though very much a NE England event

For around here I'll go for 5-8cm as we can do well out of easterlies, but I won't get my hopes up too much and expect none, things could still go pear shaped.

Work have given me the week off but I might travel up to the NE anyway and watch the event as that is very much the prime area

Down here in the South am not expecting more than 2 or 3cm

Nothing. Nary a flake.

But if I could measure the depth of my disappointment I would go for about 18 inches.

*IF* it snows for as long as predicted, I reckon Bristol could see upwards of 4 inches (10 cms), as we seem to be fairly close to the Low pressure centre to our SE on Monday (on the colder NW side) and close to another centre of Low Pressure to our SW midweek.

It all depends on the temperature ahead of this second Low Pressure.

Best chance of snow for these parts since at least Feb 1991 and maybe January 1987.

By Tuesday afternoon, before it looks like turning to sleet/rain I predict a maximum depth of 11cm here. :D
