Well, im on the coast and im tellin yeh there was real snow here. The beeb and the MO don't care about Ireland (of course they can't forcast south of the border but anyway) - they never forcast accurately here. It's England centric.

Couldnt agree more - my sentiments exactly ! I hope NI/Ireland at some point this month gets the mother of all snowstorms that'll make the snow in England look like a dusting ! OOO ive just woke up and had my cornflakes - must have been a dream lol !

Snow again here - purest in years - it's the real deal though still light.

Yeah it's great,so powdery, when do you think the real stuff will get going?

Heavy snow in DUB according to reports

Snow here now just shy of moderate but these are fine flakes.

Are those reports over on boards? Well I can confirm the guy in DUB 14 who says there was a heavy snow shower is talking c**p :help:

SP

Well, my own, it just snowed here. Waiting for the heavy gear to move in!

Ok, should be here in about 1 hour :)

We are having a mix of heavy fluffy snow and heavy snow grains.

Leading to a wetness on the tarmac.

A small covering on cars and grass

Just started to snow at around 330

But heavy snow grains = wet tarmac if not filled up! :D

Temp has fallen to 0.9c since the snow started falling = good

Nothing here, although the temp is rising worryingly fast :D . Up from 1.9C half an hour ago to 3.4C now

Woke up to a couple of cm's here. Going into town for college now- I se on the webcams that snow has actually stuck there too which is very rare.

New MetEireann warning-

Severe Weather Warning

Heavy snowfall will affect mainly East Leinster today and tonight.

Average snowfall 3-8 cm, but drifting may lead to higher accumulations.

I'm hanging on in here. It's not over yet by a mile. Expecting showers to come in as the day wears on and then tonight!
