Yep, this thread is also seriously heavy on our bandwidth!! So much so that we have now set a max 1mb limit to attachments, which is still a large amount really, so please resize your images before uploading them - 300k is large for a photo so ideally aim below that - resizing to 800x600 is a good way of doing this.

Irfanview is a very good, free program for compressing and resizing images:

Just a few from the hills of Saddleworth, some of these pictures are of roads, although you can't see them, the snow is over waiste deep in parts. Really heavy snow this evening moving across the pennines, wicked :D

LOL, Ive got some better ones today of the drifts, blocked lanes, abandoned cars, and snowblowers trying to clear the roads on the link below. Much better for pics today, its crystal clear and -0.2oC

I'm trying to upload some photos but message keeps coming up that I haven't selected a file.. and I have..... I click on Browse, double click on the photo, click upload and it goes through the motions then comes up with this error message... any one help?

:D

Got two to upload, only when I plugged laptop in, it didn't like doing it on battery.. others won't work but will keep trying!

i'm putting myself on the block here, but the thursday/friday snow event looks like its for the south midlands at the moment. i'd go for chipping norton in oxfordshire to be a candidate for a lot of snow, and other parts of the cotswolds. london looks like getting sleet. i maintain that this could all change in what is a very mobile and marginal situation.

Wow we had really bad snow today huh, Had around a foot in places in Glanamman can't believe it, A slight thaw on the roads but not much everwhere full of snow here do you reckon Amman Valley comp will open tomorrow due to health and safety?
