In Thanet they will only be able to measure it if it falls :D:)

Typical that I'm out of Essex and we get a beast of a snow streamer setting up.

Given it looks like holding for a good 12hrs I fully expect 3-5 inches to be reported by the time the front comes in from the SE and that has every chance of doubling what we already have in this zone!

Now that the winds have veered to a more favorable direction once the streamer starts it probably wont stop till the frontal system starts to come in and changes the wind direction again a little...

My word how I'd love to be at home right now, my area would be hammered by just such a set-up...

Well it's -3.7c here now with a dusting of snow; really hope some of these heavy showers piling into the east make it here.

My children commute to a school in your area and are already packing overnight clobber in case they get snowed in tomorrow!

Horizontal flurries of polystyrene type 'alpine' snow (as opposed to the normal wet stuff) here but cold and still here at the moment.

Ou et la neige....?

Hello all - another long term lurker who's decided to register. Had a couple of major snow showers here in Bushey today, and one just started 5 mins ago. Already a dusting on the ground. Anyone know the prognosis for this part of the world over the next 24 hours?
