Just a few pics taken up in the hills of Oldham/ Saddleworth today of blocked lanes, the drifts are pretty impressive, a couple of metres in places. I feel sorry for the poor bloke who has lost his land rover though, might be a while before he gets it back lol. Anyway, hope you enjoy.......

Great pictures there, serious amounts of snow.

I have just taken a few this afternoon, the snow plough that i saw turned round because the road had dissappeared under the snow drift.

    Thanks for sharing.

I need some proper footwear for next year, shoes with tennis rackets on the soles, as one farmer told me when I was wading through em! lmao

Lol. I think it would be a tad optimistic for me to buy some snow shoes, but imagine the looks i would get walking down the street with a pair of dunlop rackets on my feet!

    Ooo get you!

September will end up as another unusually warm month, and there will be some further warm, sunny spells to come as it draws to a close. Another bout of rain will be moving up from the southwest on Saturday, though. Read the full update here
