Just a few pics taken up in the hills of Oldham/ Saddleworth today of blocked lanes, the drifts are pretty impressive, a couple of metres in places. I feel sorry for the poor bloke who has lost his land rover though, might be a while before he gets it back lol. Anyway, hope you enjoy.......

yeah, not bad for a "modern day winter". It will be gut-wrenching if we have a mild one next year now :D

Fantastic shots. But own up, it's your car isn't it?!!!

Noooooooo...........the shame of it! Its funny to see 4x4 in a ditch or stuck in a snow drift ;o) I was going to get one myself, but opted for another convertible, bit of a strange decission to say that A) we get a fair bit of snow up here & :help: we didnt have a summer last year!!! lmao

Great pictures there, serious amounts of snow.

I have just taken a few this afternoon, the snow plough that i saw turned round because the road had dissappeared under the snow drift.

Thanks for sharing.

Lol how did you lose a shoe!?

I would love to wade through those drifts, with boots that were firmly on my feet :)

I need some proper footwear for next year, shoes with tennis rackets on the soles, as one farmer told me when I was wading through em! lmao

Lol. I think it would be a tad optimistic for me to buy some snow shoes, but imagine the looks i would get walking down the street with a pair of dunlop rackets on my feet!

Ooo get you!
