What happened to the 2nd Feb upgrade? I thought the new site currently in beta was going live.

I think what with all the snow and it being busy, it wasn't the best time to upgrade the site and so they could have juts put it off.

I heard one of them say yesterday that they'd decided to postpone the upgrade for a bit as with limited staff numbers they are having to concentrate on producing forecasts.

I must admit I really don't like the new weather website. It is slower and far more complicated than the previous one. I feel a lot of everyday people who used the old website might struggle with this new one. People want to see symbols not blue haze. They can get away with it on the tv but it does not transfer well onto the computer. Only a personal opinion mind.

I'm glad i was not the only one who noticed the change of speed of the new BBC weather site, it is slower than the other one and more complicated as you say. The forecasters say the website is much more ''user-friendly'' - it is anything but user friendly, the old site was much more simpler too use.

I do like the videos of the regional forecasts, this is certainly a step in the right direction but apart from that, i can't see many positives with the new BBC weather website.

Oh well, there's always the new revamped Met Office website...

In truth I rarely went on the BBC website after the change of graphics, and the most recent change isn't helping a lot either.

I have to say I'm not very impressed but then the BBC site has never been very good in my view.

Not impressed at all. It's almost like they have chosen the weather section in cost cutting. It looks a smaller site in general and not particularly easy to navigate. Having said that I do agree with the comments above - it has not been good anyway in recent years. Esspecially the 5 dayers - they were a bit of a joke really.

I use to like the BBC site - it really has gone downhill.

Definitely agree, how user unfriendly can you get? The site is plain awful.

I remember when they used to have a radar on the BBC site (a real radar, not the rubbish one they have now with blobs from 6 hours ago). Really has gone downhill. And bring back the symbols!

The only good thing is that you can get local video forecasts on there. Previously I couldn't.

Is it just me or do the pressure charts not even work? That's when I finally managed to find them that is (I cheated by searching in the search bar, wouldn't have been able to find them otherwise).

The Pressure Charts deem seems to work under the Atlantic option and for each of the Europe options, North East and west, and probably also for the other continents.

If you have got Flash, it is reasonable to use, but in work for instance Flash is blocked, so effectively the new charts are unusable and that is my problem.
