Pfft, can't even get a frost now.

The cloud has hung around all night, keeping temperatures just above 0C. Now its breaking up, so will be a fine day and temperatures will probably be a bit milder seeing as they didn't fall that low.

Very cold and cloudy, overnight snow showers have left roughly 1-2 centimeter's of snow, (which was a nice surprise :D .)

Very cold here, haven;t checked thermometer yet. Cloudy, moving from NW. Due to back Northerly shortly forcing the snow showers more inland. I suspect the snow-starved Tyne and Wear area could get a covering of 2-3 cm today, which will be fantastic considering how little we;ve had so far this winter.

Not quite sure what has happened here, some warmer air must have moved in as my minimum was -3.6c at 4.58am then the temperature rose very quickly, now -0.1 and still rising.

Most of south Wales and my part of the Midlands seems to be in the same boat, low temperatures early on then a warm up, I do note that it is still colder further east, not quite sure what has happened as there isn't a cloud in sight.

Doesn't bode well for tonight. <_<

There has been a light snowfall overnight giving just a sprinkling on top of the existing 7cm cover. The minimum air temperature dropped to -0.4c, minimum on the snow –2.0c. At observation, very icy and overcast with odd light snow flake. The morning and afternoon saw a very slow progression to brighter conditions spreading from the north, but the sun was always very watery. Cold again with a maximum temperature of 2.1c, maximum wind gust, 13.3mph, northerly. The night became clear with a moderate frost soon after dusk.

Turning brighter now after some morning cloud. The temperature fell to -4.4C last night so cold but not as cold as I had thought. Blue skies on the way and with a temperature of -0.1C, the thaw has not set in yet.
