Light-moderate snow here for past 20mins or so, settling on Rods and Ground, roads are extrmeley slippy atm, rodes havnt been gritted (wonder if low grit amount has affected Leeds) at all which is a concern, there is about 1cm of lying snow, and around 2-4cm of snow lying on the snow (layer of ice on top of the snow then the fresh snow on top of it).

Glad to see an increase in Leeds Members, how much fresh lying snow is there where you are?? LBA tends to do amazingly well compared to Lower elevations in Leeds

We have about 4 inches of lying snow and about 2 inches ice where people have trodden down the snow on the side roads. Main road clear. Apparently Roundhay always suffers badly in these conditions. It's only possible to walk on pavements if you're wearing walking boots or similar. Gritters? What gritters. I don't know if they have grit or not - we haven't seen any. The city centre is virtually clear. The lying snow seems to start at Chapel Allerton and extends north. I'm watching the progress of this channel low with meteorological fascination and some concern, given the existing conditions here.

A lot of laying snow in West Yorkshire, The Pennine belt getting the lions share with still a foot laying in a lot of areas, nearly no melt at all...the trees are even still white.

Pretty much the same on here, add a few inches to the amount and thats it. If this Low did hit us and we got blizzards it will be really great, because we allready have plenty of lying snow, with a fresh dusting as well, if we got say 20-30cm of snow this would be the greates snowfall since the 80's :hi: . But its a pretty big IF.

Intensity has improved but the flakes are just too small sadly, starting to get a light dusting on all surfaces but its really is nothing to get excited about.

Am not that far from you and we have nothing here
