Was snowing heavily here and started to settle on cars and pavement, now very light. Looking at the radar not enough precipitation for it to do anything interesting. :)

Gobsmacked !!!!! Never seen the intensity of snow here like this for donkeys years.Main roads have become almost impassible.Flakes so big..truly unreal.

i know! and you were in the heavier zone compared to me!

must have been fun!

I really hope you get heavy snow and blizzards because if u do i should. lol massive flakes again here.

Been snowing here in South Northants since about 5pm, light at first but very heavy for the last hour with big fat flakes, added another couple of inches at the moment to the 8 inches we have left from Thurs/Friday, Tomorrow borning will be a week of continous snow cover here,

it had stopped here for awhile but my 13 yr old pointed out to me 5 mins ago that it is snowing again!

Back to real snow now and settling on existing snow, the BBC suggested this would have moved through here by now

Snow stopped now,about 2cm fresh covering over old snow.

I guess that`s the main band gone through but i note some posters further North and West of here are reporting falling Snow -must be fragmented showers now i would think.

i hope this is just a taster to the main stuff arriving around 24hrs from now, still FI in snow terms, thats what im mainly interested in

the charts look similar, although i read on this forum never compare a coming channel low to ones of the past

5th snow event here in South Northants in a week. 2 inches last Sunday night, another 2 inches monday day and night, 4-5 inches Wednesday night and another 4-5 inches Thursday night, and now 2 inches and counting tonight! Cant ever remember a week like it, and im a 70's and 80's child.
