Min of -1.5c lots of ice/frost and a some frozen snow on the road at 7am temp was 1.2c though and cloudy, managed to get up the road though which was a relief.

A few odd patches of snow left in the shade on low ground by the severn, slight higher up some fields are still covered in snow out of the sun, about 3 and a half" left on our lawn.

Currently just cloudy east wind picking up very slightly. :)

Moderate rain all day so far here in Basingstoke, with the temperature around 4 deg C and a moderate S-SE wind. Here on top of the hill most of the snow still hasn't melted yet, and the car park's seriously treacherous.

Feels more like spring here with the temperature at 4.9c and no wind to speak of-as some may know, thus far ,despite all the great synoptics the North East has generally missed out. However we did get a dusting last night but it was not really measurable.

After the heavy snow subsided yesterday night, it turned very mist although the skies were clear above and the moon was shining strongly giving the snow cover a bluey tinge.. You could see the mist skitting past the moon at great speed which was an unusual sight. The temp at midnight was -1.5C so any of the snowmelt was refrozen.

Today started off cloudy with light rain and the temp lowly rose to 4.4C around an hour ago but has dipped to 3.5C now-Still light rain. Just waiting until it gets dark now to see what awaits!

A dull and very wet day with persistent rain/drizzle which has turned very heavy in the last half an hour as the Easterly wind has begun to pick up. 15mm of rain so far and a lot more to come which, added to the continuing slow thaw*, is going to mean flooding issues locally.

The temperature has been fluctuating between 2.3c and the max of 4.0c, although since midday is hasn't been above 3.1c, humidity is at 90%.

*There is still approx 90% snow cover of an inch deep on lawns.

Actually dipped to -4.3º earlier this morning but rose a short while ago to 5.4º making it the warmest day since January 29th.

Yeah much warmer today manged 0.9C this afternoon, following 6 ice days in row. Could have been below freezing for a week if it wasn't for that stupid low in the South.

Still light rain although i feel it is only a matter of time until it turns to snow. You can see your breath in the air and the rain feels very cold. Temp of 2.7C and falling.

After 6.5cm of fresh snow yesterday evening the day dawned with a veil of high cloud already present to the south and a good deal of low level fog through which the sky was visible. There were bright or brief sunny intervals for a while but from about 1015 the fog thickened in earnest and persisted for the rest of the day. The morning was dry but early in the afternoon there was light drizzle, sleet and wet snow, after 1630 or so this turned to continuous light snow.

A slight thaw during the middle of the day but the temperature was back down to 0c by 1730.

The temperature really has fell off a cliff now. At 7pm it was 1.8C and now it is 0.4C. It is dropping roughly 0.2C every 10 minutes! Heavy snow slowly turning everything white and the wind is picking up now after a still day.

Rained all day, becoming progressively heavier as the day went on and showing no sign of letting up yet. All the snow's long gone here in Reading but up the hill at work in Basingstoke it's still icy and treacherous. Currently 2.3, maximum 4.4, last night's minimum 0.5.
