Maximum temperature yesterday reached 4.1C and felt very pleasant in the sunshine.

Very frosty start here with freezing fog patches, all of the snow melt running across roads have frozen causing numrous accidents. My road had still alot of slush on which froze overnight and was like driving over lumpy concrete.

After a night of rain, sleet and wet snow, the day dawned bright chilly and breezy, with a touch of ground frost, grass minimum –0.6c. The day continued bright with good sunny spells and it became less cold, than recently, almost mild feeling in the sunshine with the temperature reaching 5.4c. Maximum wind gust 25mph, WNW. The evening saw clear periods and it quickly became cold with frost setting in.

A frost early in the night with a min' of -1.9c and -6.6c over the snow surface. A thin sheet of broken stratocumulus spread from the north west by mid-evening and persisted for the rest of the night, thickening further during the early hours. The air temperature was above 0c by 2200 and has been between 1.1c and 1.9c since 0500.

Currently overcast with a temp' of 1.9c. Mean wind speed, 15 mph W

Mean depth of level snow 16cm, 100% cover.

generally cloudy with some recent showery rain, but winds are light and it feels comparatively milder than recently as a result even though temperature is around 4c at the moment.
