Winds back up again started increasing around 11:30 hitting 40 mph just recently. Otherwise a very pleasant sunny day and very mild again.

A pretty nice day here with sunny intervals all day except for the 1st hour or so after sunrise. Also the warmest day since the 20th December with a max so far of 12.4c. Was surprisingly breezy earlier gusting up to 31mph in the valley here for a while but the wind has eased a bit now and the temp has also cooled down to 10.4c

It has been milder than recent days today but it felt quite chilly due to the snow and the wind.

I estimate that we have now 10 cm more snow than before (ice for two weeks and barely measureable snow).

It seems that the coming period will some what give more normal temperatures over here. Daytime values

seem to be between -3°c and 2°c the coming week with the colder ones in the end. The beginning of March

does seem now not to give any sight of spring yet...

After a mostly cloudy start it brightened up during the afternoon and felt quite pleasant despite the wind.

Exceptionally mild though, currently 9.9C after a max of 11.1C and a min last night of 7.9C just after midnight.

We're now just 0.6C below average with 6 days of the month to go. Despite the fact that on the 14th we were 3C below the mean its looking like this month could come in above average. What a turnaround!

Certainly a very mild feeling day tempered slightly by the SW breeze, but with abundant sunshine and no rain to speak of it has admittedly felt like an early Spring day.

This February is turning out to be a very dry one indeed for many, here in Cumbria we have seen very little frontal rain and even recent forecasts of drizzle have failed to materialise - feb is often one of the driest months of the year for us in Cumbria.
