Another overcast, mild and dry start to the day. The day continued mostly overcast, though there were a few brief glimpses of the sun, maximum temperature 11.4c and with very little wind, so feeling very mild. Maximum wind gust 13mph from the west.

After a dry and warm weekend with a fair amount of sunshine at times, esp. Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, anticyclonic gloom has taken over in Exeter with avengeance into the working week. Today the stratocumulus is even thick enough for the odd spot or two of drizzle.

Well this afternoon turned out to be much better than I expected and had some decent spells of sunshine. I'd have preferred a little less

wind, however, but I suppose a little bit of windiness should be expected at this time of year.

I'm pleased that it's drying up though, as the mud was getting ridiculous around here. I might even wash the car tomorrow, which is

something I haven't done for quite some time

The temperature has been stuck between 7.1c and 8.6c for nearly 24 hours.
