The rain today started earlier than expected at at about 11am and slowly intensified. It has felt really cold throughout the day despite the temp being a steady 6.5C. VERY gusty wind picking up in the last 30 mins, which is driving the rain outside against the windows. Makes you glad to be inside next to a roaring fire!

very gusty winds here in lincolnshire, which has ripped the top off my patio heater,thrown my garden canopy to the ground (which was been held down by a sizable slab of york stone, garden orniments strewn every where and the rain battering the rear of the house with vengence.

i to think a flash warning of gusty winds is needed.
