Currently 0c, overcast and 1 inch of snow overnight. Snow lying at some point here every month since October 2008, a total of 6 months and if you include snow lying on 6th April 2008 a total of 7 months in the last year have had snow lying at some point here.

Overnight low of -1.2C with snow showers that left a covering. Currently 0.6C with a DP of -1.0C. Feels like -4C in the wind. The sun is shining though and starting to melt the snow.

A cloudy start with outbreaks of light rain. At observation, overcast, damp and mild with moderate southerly breeze. The wind continued to increase to strong and the cloud thickened through the morning and afternoon leading to outbreaks of moderate rain which continued throughout the afternoon and in to the evening. The evening was windy with southerly gusts exceeding 38mph. Maximum temperature 9.3c.

A frosty very early morning, minimum 0.2C although it warmed up very quickly - even before the sun was propelled into the sky - shows you spring is on its way in.

A slight dusting 1 mile north from here,just a sprinkling just here min of -0.8c with some thin ice about.

One light snow shower earlier,sunny now and a light SW wind at 4.3c max so far.

On / off hail showers here in Otley NW Leeds.

Just been up on moors above Otley on lunch and snowing heavily during showers up there.(900 ft asl) but not settling.

At this time of year, in showery airstreams with low dewpoints, it is possible to have snow showers at temperatures as high as 8C, so it doesn't surprise me that much.
