2mm of rain overnight from the cold front, and then a glorious start to the day here with unbroken sunshine so far. Not cold either, with temperatures at 7.2C, although with the wind now picking up its feeling a bit colder than earlier on.

Windy, but sunny with the odd cloud. It's around 8c.

Looking at the radar here the showers are a good 2 hours or so away, although if that wind picks up a bit it might arrive sooner.

It has been a day of contrast today:

The first half of the day was mild and sunny with scattered clouds. After noon, the cloud quickly built up from the west and at around 2 it started raining and the wind picked up. Shortly after we had sleety rain/light snow which turned to very heavy hail 30 minutes later.

.....and now..... back to sunny spells
