Hi folks

Is the rain around Snowdon at the moment really as heavy as the radar suggests, or is a malfunction? If it is, a flash warning should be in the offing...

What started out as quite pleasant day, which had some glimpses of hazy sunshine, has become grey and very dark.

The skies are looking quite threatening at the moment

Although broadly similar to yesterday, today is more interesting weather-wise because the clouds have more of a cumulo form/shape to them and it's good to see things brightening from the South this afternoon.

Cloudy, sunny spells developing, breezy from the SSW, 11.3c, 71% humidity.

Almost clear skies around 0630 but by 0730 stratus had rolled in from the south and there was thick fog until 0930.

The fog lifted shortly after 0930 and it became brighter for an hour or so before thicker cloud arrived to bring intermittent light rain and drizzle between 1130 and 1500. Cloudy and dry since 1500.

It was actually that heavy. The same area of precipitation moved over here giving moderate to heavy rain for 30 minutes or so. Looking at the radar it really was a strange phenomenon, like a large single shower moving west to east not really associated with anything.

Its been another mild day, reaching 11.3C early in the afternoon. The min temp this morning was 5.6C.

Currently 8.1C and partly cloudy.
