That doesn't look like much fun! I couldn't imagine sledging in -30

Working in that sort of weather is painfull. 15 to 20 minutes is all you can stay out in that for , the go back into heat tents to warm up.

    :D

Looks nice, but i would hate it, 30-50cm enough for me, with a temp of 0.c.

Hey Kippure, we are warming up here, hopefully you will soon. Hows the oil industry up there? as slow as they make out in the media?

Thats tough, however the annual summer cycle will help the oil industry, hence you are coming back in May. It will interesting to see what happens around october time. Prime Minister Harper is saying that Canada will come out of the recession by end of year. I think that is optimistic, but to be honest, if the US pick up with Obama's stimulus, then they are gonna need oil. We will have to wait and see. At least May will be a lot warmer for you when u return

Exceptional warmth for western Europe as October begins

There'll be exceptionally warm temperatures for the time of year affecting much of western Europe during the coming days, but that warmth will only graze the UK for now. Next weekend may see a more direct hit with the potential for southerly winds to draw some of that heat north and take temperatures into the mid or high-twenties. Read the full update here
