A dry, mild, bright and rather breezy start to the day. The day continued with good sunny spells, though the fresh at times strong westerly wind felt cool coupled with low the humidity, maximum temperature 12.3c, maximum wind gust 30mph from the west.

Rather more cloud in the sky than blue skies and sunshine this morning, however, it does look like the sun will burst through to clear some of the cloud away. Perfect weather for getting outdoors - not too cold not too warm no real breeze and most importantly dry, dry weather is always good in my book at the weekends, its usually all I want at the weekends from now through to the autumn.

A *perfect* early spring day. Long sunny spells, light winds, warm & 'soft' feeling air and a max of 14.3c (warmest this year). Birds are singing, people are outside doing things again, some trees are blossoming and the daffs are in full force. How could it be any better on a Sunday in March? It couldn't!

This is the kind of mild spring weather that I was hoping for when I saw these synoptic charts. It's sunny with just a few puffs of fair-weather cloud about, and Exeter Airport is registering 14C- very reminiscent of that phenomenal spell of warm sunny weather in March 2003, and a big change from the dull damp mild weather of the past few days.
