This is the kind of mild spring weather that I was hoping for when I saw these synoptic charts. It's sunny with just a few puffs of fair-weather cloud about, and Exeter Airport is registering 14C- very reminiscent of that phenomenal spell of warm sunny weather in March 2003, and a big change from the dull damp mild weather of the past few days.

Yes a very nice day sunny and no clouds now,temps are lower to that very warm march 2003 here though at 11.8c max yet feels fresh different to then,12c was the highest so far this month a few days ago,reach 17c on 26th in 2003.

See the SE could well reach 17c tomorrow though.

Must say that the 48hour high detail on netweather has been spot on today, still a pleasant 13c but the blue skies have gone and its now a more high cloud/hazy affair as predicted. Far more accurate than the beeb.

Mild and pleasant with wall-to-wall sunshine (the first such day for several months, and we didn't have any last summer). The sun became hazier during the afternoon. Currently 12.9, maximum 17.8, last night's minimum 3.3. Although in the shade the thermometer is hardly in a standard location and probably gets heat radiated off the fence in sunny weather, so the real maximum may have been a little lower.

Very warm temperatures in England!

Today was probably the mildest day since December last year.

It got a little mild, and it topped at 5°c mid day.

Unfortuneatly no sun, so it didn't feel so much spring like, but it was no wind, so it was a big plus!

Tomorrow will maybe become warmer! And it seems that it could to 7-8°c, but after that it seems to be cooler,

and by Friday it could be as low as 0°c or lower mid day with snow showers once again.

As hoped, the sun did break through sufficiently at lunchtime to help clear away some of the cloud, but not sufficient enough to prevent cloud lapping onto the highest tops - not a great day for photography very hazy skies. The evening saw the cloud back - but in the sun must say it was very pleasant indeed.

Lovely spring day here on the east coast. Wall to wall sunshine for most of the day with little if any breeze. Got up to around 14 degrees at lunchtime before a few clouds started appearing. When down to Cleethorpes to walk the dog, it was as busy today as it is in August which was great to see - no one in the sea though, probably due to it being around 6 degrees brrrrrrrrrrrr
