Guest North Sea Snow Convection

Two things: First of all why has this thread been opened so early when we are only half way through March? Secondly, not everyone wants a repeat of April 2007. It did of course turn out to be the only spell of the year for warm weather seekers, so wanting early and unseasonal warmth doesn't always pay off anyway.

Others like me might hope for a cold, raw, blustery and showery convective April with late season snowfalls and sharp late season overnight frosts allowing evening snow showers to settle and stay overnight. Whether we get that this year is very debateable though. As my signature says, it could be that there may be some above average weather to contend with instead this time, especially perhaps later in the month, and that is despite my own preferences for it not to occur. However a 2007 re-run is something different altogether. But if the signal was then for a summer containing plenty of thundery downpours it might be worth putting up with it

Not even half way through March yet! But I want another good snowfall in April like last year. Had more than 2 inches which isn't bad going for mid-Spring.

I wouldn`t want a rerun of april 2007/april 2002 which gave gave some distant thundery showers was more interesting, it was too warm and boring in the end,Nothing like a mix of dry then a cold easterly with snow showers,or a cold N-ly,rain I can do without the wet`n windy kind, just as well it`s usually the driest time of year spring.

Or a thundery S/SE-ly plume also in April a nice mix. :D

Summer 2007 was certainly a dramatic one of a kind though. :D :o

I do hope there isn't another April 2007. Yes it was lovely weather but look at what 3 months followed! Perhaps April 2007 during July and August would be nice.

Anyway, I'm going to go for 8.5C.

You should have stuck with since 1940 because

April 1922 had a CET of 5.5

April 1908 had a CET of 6.0

April 1936 had a CET of 6.3

and April 1986 was actually 5.8

:D

7.3C. I don't think it's going to be too clever (warmth-wise).
