Stunning. Sunny all day, although its been hazy this afternoon. Temperatures shot up to 15.8C this morning, but have cooled off a bit this afternoon as we picked up an onshore breeze.

Its the warmest day of the year so far though (and indeed, since October 20th), currently 14.7C after a max an hour ago of 15.4C.

Very similar day to yesterday in Exeter- hazy sunshine, high cloud and around 14C max- should be a good sunset as well!

Meanwhile, in "sunny" South Shields it looks distinctly "driech". I predicted a very sunny week for North-Easterners, so hopefully for my forecast's sake the sun will come out there tomorrow!

Plagued by irritant cloud once again! Bits of brightness but definately felt like early spring rather than late spring as many of you further south experienced today.

Looks like another cloudy day on the cards tomorrow. However, the dry theme continues, seems ages since we have had a decent does of rain, in fact this year so far has been relatively dry with very little rain over the past 6 weeks - though Feb-May is usually the driest period of the year, with mid-march-mid april often the 4 week driest period of the year for Cumbria.
