Much better spring weather - chilly, foggy nights and warm, sunny days. Low cloud really is the ruiner of all seasons!

A cold start with frost and thick fog. Minimum temperature 0.6c, grass minimum -2.7c. At observation, cold with the fog showing signs of lifting in to thick Stratus. A rather dull and chilly morning followed. The afternoon saw the sun break through and the temperature responded to reach 11.9c, so feeling quite pleasant with only a very light wind. The evening quickly became cold under a clear sky.

Very foggy here in many parts of Ireland this morning.

Fog never cleared from southern and eastern coasts yesterday resulting in max temperature of 9.0C.

Currently 7.5C and rather foggy, but with signs of a slight clearance.

Funny that some places are reporting snow grains during a spell when many places (including some nearby) are reaching 14-16C by day!

It's hazy sunshine again in Exeter, and no cloud to burn off. We could make it to 16C today.

And in South Shields... it looks like sea fog.
