The temperature initially climbed quickly in the sunshine this morning after a cold start, but a moderate to fresh cool north easterly wind struck up around 11am which pegged back the temperature to just under 12c. The afternoon saw cloud roll in from the east, which quickly lowered the temperature to around 8c. Just goes to show how cold the North Sea is this year.

According to this chart the temperature of the sea off the east is only around 4c. I won't be swimming in that this spring.

A real dissapointing day, this morning some mist/fog, with the sun poking through, because it was early morning i though it will all burn away. Instead the clouds got thicker and blanketed us with grey cloud  . Quite a breezy easterly wind as well, making thing chilly, yesterday everyone out in t-shirts, and people sunbathing with a high of 17.c. Today wooly coats and gloves and scraves :cold: , with a top temp of 9.6c

Mostly clear with mist/low cloud edging in from the NE, 10.2c, 62% humidity.

I see on the home page that Birmingham reported snow at 04.00, if so I presume

it was from crystallized fog.

Lovely spring day here , wall to wall sunshine and not a cloud in the sky, Cumbria usually does very well when a high is situated in the current position it is n being very sheltered from the east wind, noted that Newcastle was only 7 degrees a notch or two below what the Beeb was forecasting illustrative of the very cold North Sea - those on the North Sea coast really do poor during spring when the wind is from the east.

Not sure what the temp got up to probably about the 13 degree mark. One thing I've notices is how quickly the mornings have heated up during the past couple of days, not sure how low we got too last night but at 8.30am there was barely any chill in the air - not sure whether this is because of the very low dew points and dryness of the air? It will be interesting to see whether tomorrow morning will be the same considering we are due to get close to freezing tonight.

Yet another cracker! My parents chose well for a week in their caravan in Pembrokeshire- they say they have 'yet to see a cloud in the sky', and that its 'better than the Med...but colder'!

Clear and frosty last night. Warm and sunny today, rather hazy once more. Moderate ENE wind.

Its been a very cold, cloudy and dull day here with a brisk wind off the sea. Cant wait for the wind direction to change as I hate this type of weather.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
