Boring. 20C for much of the day with some cloudy intervals, a bit of mid level cloud and light southerlies. A cold night on the way though with single digits likely.

Cloud and a moderate south easterly breeze has helped keep the temperature up and prevent a frost overnight. At observation, still rather cloudy here, though some clear skies to the north-west of the area.

Yesterday, 18 March 2009

After a clear night another cold start with a widespread air frost, minimum temperature –1.7c, grass minimum –3.6c. At observation, sunny with the temperature rising rapidly. The temperatature initially climbed quickly during the morning in the spring sunshine, but a moderate to fresh cool easterly breeze picked up around 11am and held back the temperature to just under 12c. The afternoon saw cloud roll in from the east and the temperature quickly fell back to around 8c. Maximum wind gust 25mph, ENE.

Dull murky start in Exeter, but I've had six sunny days in a row so I can't really complain.

Thick fog, no breeze and decidedly chilly earlier, but now the sun is breaking through and temperatures are rising. Going to be another lovely day I think.

17C now in Inverness. The max temperature I can find for Scotland in March is 19C, but I am sure this is far too low.

Still a fantastically mild day in Northern Scotland.
