Don't know about Leicester, but 20mm so far for Coventry, most in the first 10 days or so.

Clear and frosty last night. Periods of hazy sunshine to 1430, then dull and misty. Cooler than of late, especially when the mist rolled over. Rather windy after 1500 (NNW). Clearing this evening.

A very cold start here with frost which lingered well into late morning in sheltered spots I noticed as I travelled up to Keswick.

Had a wonderful day walking the fells near Borrowdale, however, it was a dissapointingly hazy scene with misty murky stuff shrouding the tops, very atmospheric I must add.

Tomorrow brings the change with 'drizzle and light rain' forecast , not very inspiring. It will be nice to see the white stuff on the tops again next week, most of the hills have little trace of snow only the highest ones where there are patches in north eastern aspects.

Must say the past 5-6 days or so have been great, similiar in feel to what we got in the middle of Feb 2008 though not quite as sunny or temperature breaking. I noted 18.5 degrees in Altnaharra yesterday, this would be a very respectable temperature at the height of summer for that part of the country.

A glorious day of wall-to-wall sunshine (the 7th in a row) after a frosty start, and quite a notable diurnal temperature variation. Currently 7.9, maximum 17.2, last night's minimum 0.5.

A clear and sunny day thought rather hazy. It turned cloudy during the evening and was accompanied by a rapid drop in temperature.

Max temp was 14.4C after a low of 3.6C. All in all very pleasant.
