The night as been windy, dry and mild. At observation, overcast and windy, with light rain just commencing, only a trace recorded at this time. The morning saw showers and the wind veering north westerly and increasing to strong. There were gale force gusts reaching in excess of 46mph during the afternoon with brief showers and sunny spells. Feeling cool with the temperature falling off from a maximum of 11.9c early on.

A slight frost first thing as the temperature dipped to 0.5c under a clear sky. The clear sky allowed a bright, sunny start to the day with scattered Cumulus developing after 09.30 and a veil of Cirrus gradually spreading from the NW.

There's quite a brisk WNW breeze and the temperature is now 10.4c with 53% humidity.

It really is another lovely day, but you wouldn't think so given some people moaning about it being cold . I mean, for goodness sake, the sky is mostly clear and the sun is shining. Sometimes I think some people would prefer it to be mild & wet than fresh & sunny!
